Shop recliners by type
Rocker recliners rock as well as recline and are the everyday favorite. Swivel models turn, which is useful in a room where the TV and the window compete. Wall-huggers need only a few inches of clearance behind them — the answer for apartments and tight living rooms. Power recliners stop at any position instead of three fixed ones, and are much easier on bad knees and shoulders. Lift chairs tilt forward to help you stand, and for a lot of our customers that is the difference between staying in your own home and not.
How to choose one
- Measure the wall clearance. A standard recliner needs real space behind it. If you have less than a foot, you want a wall-hugger and we will show you which ones qualify.
- Check the footrest against your height. Your heels should reach the end of the footrest. If they hang off, your calves will ache after an hour.
- Power or manual. Manual costs less and never needs an outlet. Power is easier to operate and far gentler on your shoulders — worth it if pulling a handle is a problem.
- Actually recline it. All the way back, for a few minutes. That is the position you will spend your evenings in.

Delivery is a $125 flat rate within 50 miles, with no per-piece charge and no minimum order. We cover Shively, Valley Station, Pleasure Ridge Park, Fairdale, Okolona, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews and Shepherdsville, plus Southern Indiana — New Albany, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, Sellersburg and Charlestown — at the same rate. Pickup at the store is free.

Payment plans start at $40 down through Acima and Progressive. Most customers are approved in minutes with a standard checking account, and most plans include 90 days same as cash.

Do you have lift chairs in stock?
Usually, but stock moves. Text before you drive out and we will check the floor for you — especially worth doing if you are coming from Indiana.
Will it fit through my door?
Recliners are usually the easiest large item to get in, but measure your narrowest doorway anyway and tell us the number.
Does power mean it stops working in an outage?
Most power recliners include a battery backup so you are not stuck reclined. Ask us about the specific model.
Is it real Ashley?
